GPs connecting with HIV consultants

Improving GP services for people living with HIV

Fast-Track Cities London is running a six month pilot that connects GPs directly to a HIV consultant or peer support worker while their patient is with them. GPs will have this HIV telephone service via Consultant Connect www.consultantconnect.org.uk.

This is the first time GPs are being connected up this way for a specialist service across the whole of London.

This will support GPs to look after HIV positive patients in their practice without having to send them to hospital, and will make sure people living with HIV get the advice and support they need.

Find out more about the Consultant Connect pilot here.
