Fast-Track Cities London HIV Improvement Community Showcase event
Tuesday 27 September 3.00pm-6.00pm
Coin Street, 108 Stamford St, Waterloo, London SE1 9NH
We are hosting a special event of Fast-Track Cities London where we will showcase the highly successful HIV improvement community. This way of working between the voluntary sector and the NHS through an improvement community, could be the blueprint for other long-term conditions to incorporate the third sector into treatment pathways.
Please register to attend the event on eventbrite here
There are many examples of improvement collaboratives across the NHS, but it is rare that these are so focused on third sector leadership in health and on tackling inequalities. We have taken the best of improvement science and applied this to our joint working with the voluntary sector to build London’s first whole city improvement community partnership.
The improvement community is a collective of 13 projects led by 22 voluntary organisations working with nine NHS trusts, working towards the common ambition of ending new cases of HIV, preventing unnecessary deaths and ending HIV stigma and discrimination in London – Getting London to zero.
Learn about why we have chosen this approach, what results we’ve seen for people living with HIV and the impact we are having in tackling health inequalities particularly for new emerging migrant communities, African, Caribbean and migrant women, trans women, gay men living with HIV who are also migrant men, men of colour and men who don’t have English as a first language.
