Fast-Track Cities London will be joining colleagues from Bristol at the International AIDS Society (IAS) annual conference in Munich from 22 to 26 July. The event is expected to attract around 15,000 participants and will be a great opportunity to showcase some of our work towards achieving our 2030 goals.
Getting to Zero Programme Manager, Garry Brough and Harun Tulunay from Positively UK will be leading a workshop at the event discussing the development and rollout of the London Empowerment Programme, explaining how community organisations developed an empowerment framework and delivered a range of peer-led workshops to support people living with HIV with a view to reducing internalised stigma.
Aled Osbourne from the Brigstowe part of Fast-Track Cities Bristol will also be sharing how Bristol’s ‘Hearts & Minds’ community-developed training resource is tackling stigma in healthcare settings by integrating lived experience within the training delivery process.
Both cities will share their training resources and invite workshop participants from around the world to create a network to share and learn from each other’s approaches and interventions in addressing HIV stigma.
